Prices and booking

During High Season bookings are generally taken for 7 nights on a Wednesday – Wednesday basis.

Rooms are available for check-in by 3.00pm. If you arrive before your room is ready we have plenty of space to store your bags whilst you go off and start exploring. On your day of departure check-out time is 10.00am.

Deposit

For bookings of 3-nights or less full payment must be made at the time of booking. For bookings of 4-nights or more, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 1-nights stay per week (or part week) is required to secure any booking. Payment of your deposit can be made by debit/credit card over the phone, by cheque (payable to ‘Wheelhouse Guest House Ltd’) or by internet banking – please ask us for details.

Payment

Payment of the balance can be made once you are here by cash, cheque, BACS or most debit/credit cards.

Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation we will make every effort to re-let your room(s). Where we are unable to do so charges will be made as follows:

Cancellations with at least 7-days notice given will be charged at a rate of two-thirds of the cost of the loss incurred;

Cancellations within 7-days of the arrival date, including nights missed due to travel disruptions, will be charged at the full rate.

Holiday Insurance

As you are visiting an off-shore island, we strongly advise you to take out adequate holiday insurance to cover you against any possible cancellation or delay, including unforeseen illness and weather related travel delays.

Children

We do not have family rooms at The Wheelhouse and regret we are unable to accommodate young children.

Dogs

We regret we cannot accommodate dogs, except for assistance dogs. Please contact us to discuss arrangements.

Smoking

The Wheelhouse is a strictly no smoking guest house, including outside areas.
